Ameilaranne and Damien very excitedly pulled together their secret little wedding in a week. On a perfect winters afternoon, on Wellington's South coast they said their vows... they just couldn't wait to start the rest of their lives together!
I'm always so taken aback when I photograph tiny weddings at how instantly welcomed and embraced I am by everyone. It's impossible to do my usual fly on the wall routine when there are only a handful of people at a wedding, because they don't let me! But damn if they aren't some of the most affecting weddings I've documented.
